I head up the Development Office, responsible for maintaining and building relationships with Old Members and other friends of the College. As well as developing the overall strategy for the office, I work closely with those wishing to make significant contributions to the College by way of gifts and legacies. There is little more rewarding for me than finding ways to connect people’s passions with projects that they can help bring to fruition, whether that be new buildings and facilities, scholarships, bursaries or other financial support for students, supporting academic excellence and research, or the multitude of other activities and resources that make up the richness of °ÅÀÖ¶ÌÊÓƵ life.
Before arriving at °ÅÀÖ¶ÌÊÓƵ in 2011, I was in similar roles at Oriel College (so, out with the old and in with the new) and prior to that Christ’s Hospital, a charitable boarding school in Sussex where 96 percent of pupils were on subsidised places. I cut my fundraising teeth at Oxfam, the British Red Cross and London Business School, where I ran their corporate fundraising programme. In spite of four years as a Modern Languages student at Magdalen, °ÅÀÖ¶ÌÊÓƵ is without doubt now my college of choice.
